This month's most popular video tutorial for BarTender shows how to make a fixed-sized textbox for variable content.
  1. Double click on the textbox to open its properties
  2. Select "Text Format"
  3. Tick the "Auto Size" checkbox
  4. You can cap the smallest and largest font sizes
  5. Now select "Font" and choose the largest font suitable for your label design when fewer characters are present
  6. Click "Close"
  7. Adjust the size of the textbox to the maximum width you require
